About Casey House
When a team of founding volunteers opened the doors to Casey House 21 years ago, we were at the vanguard of change, as the first dedicated HIV/AIDS hospice in Canada, and one of the first in the world.
Today, as a specialty hospital with community programming including home care and outreach programs, we are guided by that pioneering spirit each and every day in providing exemplary treatment, support and palliative care for people affected by HIV/AIDS, in collaboration with our communities.
We could not do what we do without the support of donors like you. Thanks to your financial support, Casey House provided care on nearly 6,000 occasions in 2008 alone. Your donations support our nursing collaboration with Voices of Positive Women, as well as a nurse on board the Sherbourne Health Centre Health Bus, providing access to treatment for Toronto's homeless and underhoused HIV/AIDS population. Your generosity funds our social workers who work closely with Fife House and the Philip Aziz Centre, finding homes for people in the later stages of their disease. You help to pay for the nursing care for our over 100 community clients who receive our superb HIV/AIDS care in their homes. It is also thanks to you that we can provide our 100 hospice residents each year with toothbrushes, phone calls home, liquid meal replacements… simple needs that mean the world to someone who is very ill.
Now and into the future, Casey House continually collaborates and learns from our clients and other service providers in adapting our approach to care, always guided by the loving values of our founders.
Our clients, their families and loved ones, your neighbours and friends—all depend on us for help. Your financial support of Casey House directly helps people with HIV/AIDS live better and healthier lives.
We thank you for your enduring and loyal support and ask you to continue to give generously. For more about how you can contribute to Casey House community programs, please visit www.caseyhouse.com
