Artist Statement

In Courts, Wilcox has photographed empty racquet sports courts. The bold, flat colours and structural lines in the resulting images have been described as recalling modernist paintings. This series caught the attention of famed collector Charles Saatchi in his documentary show School of Saatchi, and has received several international awards.
