Artist Statement

Anda Kubis subscribes to the idea that attention is the most valuable human resource needing care and management today. She is interested in how consciousness shifts while negotiating daily experience. In her work colour blurs and merges into form. Anda’s painting, be it traditional or digital, becomes the site for focused perceptual contemplation. Her work examines the role of art, particularly painting, in harnessing visual sensation.
