Artist Statement

Nine issues of Manometre were published at irregular intervals between July 1922 and January 1928. Contributors included Hans Arp, Tristan Tzara, Kurt Schwitters and Emile Malespine (editor). Though originating in the provincial centre of Lyon, it was a sophisticated international revue, on the dada-surrealist axis, but with a strong constructivist component as well. Shown is the cover of issue #5.
